ok, so so far i've been having fun in china and what not, but things have stayed rather tame. i was beginning to wonder if there was even a reason i didn't give my mom this blog address. but this weekend proved to me that i probably won't remember many of my weekends in shenzhen. friday night we took a bus into luohu (a more downtown area of shenzhen) and started at this place called cue club. they were playing hip hop there and it was full of westerners, which is quite the change from yantian. a ton of the ctlc people came out, and it was cool to see everyone again. we all got pretty sloppy drunk, which is always fun. ex: linda was convinced her roommate didn't know her name and they both almost cried over the miscommunication. i mostly just laughed at them. after that we went to a different bar called u bar and bought a bottle of whiskey and i ganbeied a few too many whiskey green teas (that stuff is seriously the shit guys, you really need to try it). this guy stephen was so drunk he didn't realize there was tea to mix with, so he poured us each a fucking glass of whiskey. i was a tad too drunk for that, so i just switched glasses with someone else when they weren't looking. he looked confused, but rolled with it so whatever. this other kid in the program was so drunk he just fell on his ass and couldn't get up. apparently at some point we left u bar and came home, but i remember approx. none of that. i do remember when we got home i realized that we had brought these two trashed guys home with us because they were too drunk to know where they lived (stephen was maybe a few blocks from his house when we were at u bar). anyway, so linda and frank take care of stephen and jess, ben, and i take evan to our room. the next morning they both wake up with no clue as to where they are. then we decide it will be a great idea to go to the beach. i always forget that no matter how much i love the beach the first 30 or so minutes, i fucking hate being sticky and sandy and hot and not being able to shower. add hung over to that, and maybe was not so great. but jeff and mike came down and it was actually quite fun. the water is fucking awesome. apparently it's a little dirty, but we're in china, so who cares. it's the perfect temperature. evan stephen and frank woke up and started drinking, and i guess evan forgot to pace himself because he was shitty wasted at the beach.... and he was the only one. i'm talking can barely walk, throwing sand at people, fear for his life as he walks down the street drunk. it kind of seesawed between being fucking hilarious and cause for major concern. as soon as we got home though he passed the fuck out and didn't wake up until this morning. last night we ended up having a small party here at our place. our apartment is really great for that. although beerpong on a tiny table with tiny cups is maybe not so fun? also maybe cups taste like glue? also, last night makes me realize that no matter how much i miss shanghai, with this group we would all be dead by the end of the month, much less the end of the year. this weekend did make me miss windows too a lot, though (jess knows what i'm talking about, and tyler better fucking know by now.)
it's a holiday weekend so we have monday off this week. obviously, this means i will be going out again tonight, and i plan to make it my most ridiculous yet. i'm talking embarrassing drunk texts, slight element of danger, really fucking bad decisions ridiculous. i will keep you updated.

don't you judge me, I haven't been to Windows yet. Some people tried to go there and ended up at a really shady place called the "New York Bar". But I'm sure I'll be hittin up windows soon. Sounds ridiculous. hung over china is super
hooray for bad decisions!! I plan on making a couple of those over the next four days... but nothing as ridiculous as that.
Please say that upon your return from China we will hit up some beach and do like that drunk guy in the morning? That sounds absurd in a sexy fun way.
I miss youuu!
