"i need teardrop" strikes again

ok, so a couple of weeks ago i got a note from a little girl in class. i got all excited when she ran up and handed it to me, thinking it would be something really cute about us being best friends or something. it read:

i need teardrop                       sorry!

i don't like my class

:'(

yeah. so that wasn't quite what i was expecting. and of course i had no clue who the little girl was cause i wasn't really paying attention. and they all have black hair, uniforms, and ponytails. anyways, today during the same class, a familiar little girl ran up to me and gave me a note. when i opened it, i instantly recognized the handwriting. same girl. but this time she wrote the following:

you should drink more plain boiled water in summer.

care killed the cat

listening to the music is wonderful way to pass time

oh, and there's a picture of a sheep laying down and wearing sunglasses. new goal for the end of the year: figure out what the hell one of this girl's notes is trying to say. seriously, wtf?

in other news, NATIONAL DAY HOLIDAY IS NEXT WEEK!! that means NO TEACHING!! it also means we're going to hainan, or the hawaii of china!!! seriously, google image search "sanya" (the city we'll be staying in). it's pretty fucking gorgeous. ALSO. it's an island, but we're taking a train. how you ask? a bridge? a tunnel? NO. a ferry! yes, that's right. we are taking a train, which will then take a ferry to the island. seriously, try and tell me you don't fucking love china. anyways, so far we have a group of 10 going, which should prove to be interesting. as of right now it's jess, linda, kate, gwyn, audrey, frank, evan, justin, harry, and of course, me. i'm quite interested in seeing how this group dynamic works out. the only hindrance in our plans thus far is that we still don't have our passports back... which we need to check into the hostel. BUT the people that applied for their visas last wednesday got theirs this wednesday, and the rest of us applied on either thursday or friday, so hopefully we'll all get ours back friday at chinese class. if not... well, i guess we'll cross that bridge (or ferry?) when we get to it. 

the only downside to national day holiday, is that the chinese haven't quite figured out how the whole "holiday" concept works. so even though we have next monday-friday off, we have to work this saturday and sunday to make up some of the classes. and by "we" i pretty much mean "i" as it seems that everyone else's school is having some bullshit "sports day" and they don't have to teach. i, on the other hand, get all my worst classes. again. i will get the last laugh though. as all those people are teaching primary, and so when my juniors have a huge test one week, i won't have class at all, and they will. so ha. as for now though, i'm definitely way too jealous for my own good.
